AI meditation gurus, guided content, breathing exercises, soundscapes, and live guru bookings.

Getting Started with Meditation Studio

The Meditation Studio is accessible from your dashboard. Click Open app on the Meditation Studio card, or use the sidebar to navigate directly.

  1. From the dashboard, click the Meditation Studio card.
  2. You’ll land on the Meditation Studio home page, which shows your recent sessions, streak, and quick-access tiles for AI gurus, the library, and breathing exercises.
  3. Use the sidebar (desktop) or bottom tabs (mobile) to navigate between sections.

AI Meditation Gurus

Meditation Studio includes 7 AI guru personas, each trained in a specific tradition. You can have real-time voice conversations with them for guided meditation sessions.

Available traditions

  • Vipassana (insight meditation)
  • Zen (zazen, koans)
  • Transcendental (mantra-based)
  • Yoga Nidra (conscious sleep)
  • Metta (loving-kindness)
  • Tibetan (visualization, chanting)
  • Sufi (Dhikr, whirling)
  • Taoist (Wu Wei, inner alchemy)
  • Mindfulness (MBSR, body scan)

Starting an AI session

  1. Navigate to AI Gurus from the sidebar.
  2. Choose a guru persona and tradition.
  3. Click Start Session to begin a real-time voice session. The AI guru will guide you through a personalized meditation.
  4. Use the Pause button to take a break, or End Session to finish.

Tip: Free users get 2 AI voice sessions per week. Upgrade to Wellness Bloom for unlimited voice sessions and 10 video avatar sessions per month.

Video avatar sessions

Bloom and Thrive subscribers can access video avatar sessions. These use Beyond Presence technology for a lifelike, face-to-face meditation experience. Select Video Session when starting a session with an AI guru.

Guided Content Library

The library contains curated meditation sessions, guided visualizations, and progressive courses. Browse by tradition, technique, duration, or difficulty.

  • Free content is available to all users.
  • Premium content requires a Bloom or Thrive subscription.
  • Sessions range from 5 to 60 minutes.

Breathing Exercises

All breathing exercises are free for every user. Available techniques include:

  • Box Breathing (4-4-4-4)
  • 4-7-8 Breathing
  • Alternate Nostril Breathing
  • Wim Hof Method
  • Diaphragmatic Breathing

Each exercise includes a visual timer and customizable durations.

Soundscapes

Soundscapes provide ambient audio for meditation or relaxation. Free users have access to 2 soundscapes (Rain and Ocean). Upgraded users get all 5: Rain, Ocean, Forest, Tibetan Bowls, and White Noise.

Soundscapes can be layered over guided sessions or used standalone.

Booking Live Gurus

Bloom and Thrive subscribers can browse and book 1-on-1 live sessions with certified meditation gurus worldwide.

  1. Navigate to Live Gurus from the sidebar.
  2. Filter by tradition, technique, language, or price.
  3. View a guru’s profile, availability, and reviews.
  4. Click Book Session and choose a date and time.
  5. Complete payment via Stripe. You’ll receive a confirmation with session details.

Live sessions are pay-per-session, priced by the guru. Thrive subscribers get 15% off all live bookings.

Session History & Streaks

Your meditation history tracks every AI session, guided content session, and breathing exercise. View your:

  • Daily and weekly streaks
  • Total meditation minutes
  • Sessions by tradition and technique
  • Progress over time
